“Women and their Olive Trees” is an extraordinary multicultural art project conducted by Israeli women; Christian and Muslim Arabs, Jews, Druze and others, who are attending an art class of the WIZO center in Afula, Galilee, in Northern Israel.  All participating women expressed through their painting a very personal account of an olive tree, a symbol for peace and hope. These women are embedded in different social, ethnical, religious and cultural environments and heritage, a unique feature, which is reflecting the multicultural character of the Israeli society of today. They all live together under equal citizenship, being connected to each other by deep respect and solid friendship.
